Assignment Tasks
Students in this course will complete five assessment tasks.
1. In class test
Short answer test on the first four weeks of lectures
2. In class exercises and portfolio
Weekly in class exercises and a final portfolio of five completed pieces
3. Press conference and news story
Develop a news story from a simulated press conference
4. News story
Develop and write your own news story
5. Final Test
Short answer test covering all course material
6. Essay (Jour 201 Students only)
A short essay on the changing nature of journalism
