Description: News story. Local community story. Idea developed by student and workshopped in class
Due Date: End of week 13, Friday, May 26 (in class).
Format: News story, maximum of 500 words, list of questions asked interviewees and copy of story plan, including research undertaken. This should be about a local community event or issue. It should be written in such a way as to appeal to a broad readership.
Assessment Criteria: Students will be assessed on a range of elements, including, but not restricted to:
- originality of subject and readership potential (news sense);
- depth of research (initiative);
- writing style;
- grammar, spelling and punctuation.
