Writing for the Web

building visually structured interactive content

Introductory notes and guidlines

1. Visually structured interactive content

When you write for the web you must adhere to all the usual hallmarks of good writing: clarity, conciseness and ordered narrative but you must also display this ordered thought visually on the page.

2. The right audience fit

One of the key elements of writing well is writing for your audience.

3. How do people read the web?

People read from a screen very differently than they do from the printed page.

4. Beyond the basics

Keep it simple but never make it simplistic.
